Every election cycle since 2000, Youth Vote has hosted a Candidate Forum and Mock Election to expose Anchorage-area students to our modern democratic election process, and engage them in learning about one of their most important civic duties: voting.

This year, candidates for Alaska’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives have been invited to participate in this year’s Youth Vote Candidate Forum, via video response to youth-generated questions. While we will still facilitate a Mock Election for Anchorage students, we're excited about the program we're working on and want to share our message of the importance of youth voice in civics, politics, and current events, with the WHOLE COMMUNITY!

We would like to invite the whole community -- students, peers, families, dignitaries, teachers, school officials, and other co-conspirators -- to witness youth leadership in action, and hear directly from our Congressional candidates about the issues that matter most to Anchorage youth, from this youth-driven, youth-led event!
